Safety and people

Focusing on safe operations and the importance of our people

Health and safety

The safety of our people is our top priority. We believe that all our people and those working on our sites are entitled to the same level of protection regardless of where in the world they work. To achieve this, it is essential that we have the right frameworks in place to enable our people to work safely.

Subsea7 has established a Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality (HSSEQ) policy to ensure an incident-and injury-free workplace every day. We have a robust Business Management System which underpins the way we conduct safety-related training, reporting, procedures, and assessments, fostering a culture of ‘Work Safe, Home Safe’. In addition, our health and safety management system adhere to internationally recognised standards and is certified under ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety management.

Diversity and inclusion

Subsea7’s workforce includes more than 100 nationalities and individual differences are viewed as a strength. Embracing diversity in the workplace helps maintain access to, and supports, a diverse pipeline of talent.

At Subsea7 we recognise that an inclusive and diverse environment not only fosters creativity and innovation but also improves decision making through new ways of thinking. As the energy industry continues to evolve, we need to build new skills and develop global perspectives to make the energy transition possible.

Creating, maintaining and promoting an inclusive work environment where all our differences are embraced, and everyone is treated equitably is important for our workforce to thrive and be motivated to support the sustainable delivery of the offshore energy transition solutions the world needs

Talent attraction, development and retention

Our people are at the heart of everything we do and supporting all individuals to achieve their full potential is key to Subsea7’s success.

Subsea7 has a well-established range of learning and development tools and programmes to help our employees develop their knowledge and skills. This includes business and functional skills capability frameworks, career development programmes, and diverse learning content, all designed to promote inclusive and equal learning opportunities for everyone.
