Responsible supply chain

A significant part of our work is executed by our supply chain. We recognise that a responsible supply chain is central to our business activities and important in ensuring a sustainable future. Our aim is to co-operate closely with our suppliers to achieve a working relationship that benefits both parties. We expect our suppliers to have an approach to sustainability aligned with ours and to respect our Values and working culture. To ensure a fair bidding process, Subsea7 promotes open competition among approved suppliers. Bidders are treated fairly and evaluated according to their technical and commercial proposals.

Our Code of Conduct for Suppliers sets out the key principles of ethical business conduct that our suppliers are required to uphold. This includes business ethics, labour practices, human rights, health, safety, security, environment and quality. By signing a contract, they agree to work according to these principles.

Ecological impacts

Conducting our operations in a way that minimises impact on the environment is important to Subsea7. Our HSSEQ policy and Code of Conduct focus on meeting regulatory compliance and improving our environmental performance through measures that reduce waste, energy consumption and emissions.

We operate in diverse and sometimes unfamiliar environments, where conditions can vary significantly. We manage the environmental impacts of our projects through a comprehensive approach that includes our global ISO 14001-certified Environmental Management System, regional environmental plans and project specific aspects and impacts registers.

Our Environmental Management System provides a framework for managing the potential ecological effects of our operations, including biodiversity. In alignment with regulations and supported by transparent government policies, we work closely with clients to reduce, prevent, or mitigate biodiversity impacts wherever possible.

IT cybersecurity and privacy

Subsea7’s IT policies aim to protect systems, ensure availability and integrity and prevent fraud. These policies are regularly reviewed to address current and emerging information security, cyber-maritime and cybercrime risks, and GDPR compliance.
