Technology
Developing market-driven and cost-effective solutions for the future.
Subsea7 has a strong portfolio of enabling products to meet current and future subsea development challenges. We are at the forefront of innovation and change in order to provide sustainable operations and greater efficiencies to our clients.
Pipeline Bundles
Subsea7’s track record includes the successful design, fabrication and installation of over 80 pipeline bundles around the world.
The Pipeline Bundle neatly incorporates all structures, valve work, pipelines and control systems necessary to operate a field in one single product, delivering considerable value and potential cost savings for a wide range of applications, including High-Pressure / High-Temperature field developments.

Flowline Systems
High performance and cost-efficient Flowline Systems to enable optimal field architecture.
Subsea7 has been successfully installing electrical heating systems for over 10 years, including the world’s deepest open loop Direct Electrical Heating (DEH) system.
Alongside the fabrication and installation of Pipe-in-Pipe solutions, we have developed one of the most efficient heating technologies: the Electrically Heat Traced Flowline (EHTF).
A key challenge for new subsea developments is maintaining the right temperature within the pipeline infrastructure to reduce the risk of blockage from hydrates or wax. Advances in heated pipe technologies, such as the EHTF, provide a solution to managing flow assurance, overcoming the challenges of longer distance tie-backs and greater water depths, in a cost-effective way.
Riser Systems
Riser Systems that meet the ever increasing challenges of deepwater and harsh environments.
Our aim is to maintain our industry leadership in riser systems through the continuous development of our existing solutions and with the addition of new riser concepts.
Riser Portfolio
Subsea7’s riser portfolio includes proven decoupled riser systems, such as the Single Hybrid Riser (SHR), the Hybrid Riser Tower (HRT) and the Buoyancy-Supported Riser (BSR). These systems have been successfully applied to major deepwater projects.
Coupled riser systems include Flexibles, Steel Catenary Risers (SCRs), both applied on numerous fields, and Steel Lazy-Wave Risers (SLWR), with the first installed SLWR system deployed on the BC-10 project in Brazil.
Our wide range of riser solutions enable us to support clients in selecting the most suitable option for each project, taking into account field characteristics like water depth and environmental conditions.

Subsea Processing
Subsea Processing (SSP) aims to move the entire, or parts, of topside processing facilities to the seabed. SSP can incorporate a number of different processes to help reduce the cost and complexity of developing an offshore field.
The subsea challenge
Temperature and pressure conditions in export pipelines can cause flow assurance issues like hydrate or wax formation leading to the blockage of flowlines and the subsequent arrest of production. The normal flow assurance mitigation strategy so far has been to maintain temperatures above the hydrate and wax formation temperatures.
SSP technologies address such flow assurance issues at source, reducing slugging and the need for chemical injection.
SSP provides the ability to increase recoverable reserves and further enhance the economic viability of projects by optimising production.
New field development solutions
We are working in collaboration with our alliance partner OneSubsea to develop integrated subsea solutions that will add real value for our clients.
