Elspeth Yarrow, Associate HSE Advisor

 •  Academic background is degrees in law and geography at Edinburgh University
 •  After  university spent about 9 months doing conservation work for a voluntary organisation
    in Aberdeen
 •  Joined Subsea 7 in April 2004, when I was 22, working as an Associate Environmental
    Adviser
 •  Sponsored  through Environmental Auditing course and NEBOSH Certificate by Subsea 7
over the last two years and undergone most internal safety courses.
 •  Currently  on assignment to Grimstad,  Norway for  12 months and working as HSEQ advisor
 •  Organising  NEBOSH Diploma course, also to be sponsored by the company

I don’t know where I’m going to be location wise, even within the company, in the future, which to me is a pretty good thing because mapping out my future really isn’t something I like to do too far in advance. I’m happy in this department but am branching out into Health and Safety to add to my Environmental discipline so that I have more possibilities for the future. I am very glad that I can undergo my professional training with support from the company and very happy that there is a good range of work and possibilities within this department which makes it an interesting job
