1. I want to get into the oil industry. Where do I start?

Subsea 7 provides products and services required for subsea field development, including project management, design and engineering, procurement, fabrication, survey, installation, and commissioning of production facilities on the seabed and the tie-back of these facilities to fixed or floating platforms or to the shore.

The company also delivers a suite of services to support the maintenance and integrity management of these assets throughout their producing life including, survey, inspection, repair and maintenance, integrity management and decommissioning.

Through its i-Tech division the company provides remotely operated vehicles and tooling services to support exploration and production activities. 

VERIPOS, a division of Subsea 7, provides precise navigation and positioning services to the offshore industry.

It is against this background that Subsea 7 will continue to look at advancing deepwater technology through investment in new assets and equipment, sponsorship of an aggressive R&D programme and participation in joint industry projects that address a wide range of deepwater production issues.

So just like any other business in the oil & gas sector, we require people with varying skills and experience and there are a multitude of opportunities to join us both as an experienced individual or trainee. As we recognise the need to grow our skill pool, we have established apprenticeship schemes, graduate and engineering conversion programmes to meet our business needs. 2. How do I apply for a position with Subsea 7?

All our current vacancies are advertised under the current vacancies section of our website. In addition to this, vacancies are also advertised on international job boards, and within local, national and industry specific newspapers and publications. We have dedicated recruitment teams in each location who are responsible for managing CVs and Resumes and the recruitment life cycle, ultimately ensuring that all applications are treated in confidence and dealt with appropriately, in line with our company values and regional employment legislation. We also use a number of Recruitment Agencies who are designated preferred suppliers and committed to our high standards and service levels.

3. What training opportunities are available?

When you join Subsea 7 you will be given every opportunity to develop your skills and experience and we will ensure that you are given all the necessary training required to carry out your job.

4. Does Subsea 7 run any Apprenticeship schemes?
